Project Description

Many of the world’s top courses boast one common element – design by Dye. The Dye Family has probably had a greater impact on golf course design than anyone since the original sheep at St. Andrews that created the bunkers by burrowing into the dunes. Pete & P.B. Dye are proud to present Prestwick County Club. Named one of the “5 Best Kept Secret Golf Courses in America” by Golf Digest, August 2004 and has been awarded Golf Digest’s 4-star rating.

Prestwick surrounds a sparkling 20 acre freshwater lake, bordered on the west by a 20,000 square foot colonial clubhouse. The front nine winds through a pine forest in a manner reminiscent of the world famous Dye – designed Harbour Town. Only 1/4 mile away from the ocean, the back nine is a more open layout similar to PGA West and play in influenced by the prevailing ocean wind.

Prestwick features 8 holes where water comes into play, offers 6 sets of tees for all calibers of golfers, and plays to a top length of 7058 yards from the championship tees. Prestwick has been recognized as one of South Carolina’s top golf courses and remains enjoyable with extremely limited non-member play.
